Girls' Weekend in Vegas

So some of my friends came down to visit me this weekend. We had such a great time. Here are just a few pictures of our adventures...

P.S. I just figured out that I don't get automatic notices on comments, so I'm about 3 months behind on replying (oops!)

Happy Birthday

I have to say this was a really great and surprising birthday! Not only did I get such pretty flowers, but I also got a PROPOSAL! It was an awesome way to start my new year.

Carmen Sandiego?

Yeah, she's got nothing on me. So where have I been since New Year's? And not that it's any excuse for not blogging here, as portable as my life is. Since Auld Lang Syne was heard, I have been to Boston, Charlotte (N.C.), San Diego, Phoenix, and Hartford (CT)/Springfield. And we're not even two full months into the year. But at least I remembered to take my camera for the last leg.

This picture is of the waterfall that flows into one of the swimming pools where I was staying in Phoenix. It's actually a resort and yes, believe it or not, I was there for a conference.

We also did some geocaching this weekend, which was a lot of fun. This find was very creative. See?

New Year's Day - Cima, California & Vicinity

Day one of the new year started out with a wake-up call and subsequent drive to California for some fun in the sun (and wind), but most importantly in the sand! Chad and I went geocaching with our friends Brian and Linda and we had a great time. We found some really cool stuff along the way, and hopefully we'll get to do some more exploring in the region in the spring when it's warmer.

Here are the pictures from our trip.

New Year's Eve

So in traditional fashion, New Year's Eve became a series of my attempts to take pictures of those who did not want to be photographed. These pictures are a direct result of that resistance.
