Can you believe it???

So apparently it's a big deal for it to snow in Vegas. I guess it happens only every 30 years or so, or at least they are reporting the last biggest snowfall comparable to this week's was in 1974 and before that in the late 40s. So hoorah! I moved away from the cold and snow just in time to get some cold and snow.

As you can see, there are big fat snowflakes worthy of the Salt Lake valley. But notice that my picture includes the undrained (and yes, still open) swimming pool. I did that on purpose. :)

In addition, I just have to say upon returning from our trip last week, my most prized photograph is one that I took at my friend's apartment. One of her neighbors had the biggest Christmas ornament I've ever seen! And it wasn't hanging from a tree. Oh no. It was hanging from the back (or front, however you look at it) porch! Ahh, I love the South.

And one more thing...we did manage to get a couple of - in my opinion - likeable pictures. Just ignore the unflattering parts, if you please.

I'm sorry, I just couldn't help myself.

Mo's Ride

I suppose it was inevitable that we graduate to a four-door vehicle...so Saturday we bought (another) Jeep.

Our Newest Addition

This is the "before" picture of Mo, the dog we acquired this past weekend. As you can see, he came to us with a Rod Steward 'do, which we promptly rectified. More pictures to come...

FINALLY...

So we went on our cruise at the end of May, but given all that we've had going on, these pictures are just now getting posted. Our itinerary was reversed once we got to sea, due to another passenger having a medical emergency. He had to be life-flighted by a Coast Guard helicopter, so we had to head back towards Florida to meet the USCG. Our stops included Cozumel, Mexico first, then Belize, Honduras, and lastly Grand Cayman. We had a good time, but got a little sunburned. Though I hear the Alaskan cruise is not out of the question for our next trip...
